Matthew Catalfumo is a 2027 RHP/1B/OF with a 5-11 135 lb. frame from Manalapan, NJ who attends Red Bank Catholic. Catalfumo works from a long lean and plenty projectable build that has lots of room to fill out and add strength in the future as a '27 prospect. As a primary RHP, he displayed a full deep arm stroke with calculated controlled movements present throughout the delivery. He generated some cut on the FB up to 80 mph with a developing off speed arsenal that included both a vertically shaped breaker and CH that displayed ability to kill spin at times. He also touched 80 mph from the OF, again showing off the full arm action while effectively getting behind the baseball. Catalfumo made plays asked of him at 1B with reliable glove work and arm strength up to 77 mph. Offensively, the righty started from a wider even base with a simple repeatable leg lift trigger to produce contact back up the middle of the field. He has room to refine the barrel control as he gets older, posting an exit velo of 67 mph.
