Jayden Smith is a 2028 OF/RHP, 3B, BHP with a 5-8 175 lb. frame from Richmond, TX who attends . Medium, strong looking frame with room to physically mature. Recorded a 8.49 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary outfielder with athleticism and fundamentally sound movements throughout the fielding process. Fields properly off his front foot, gathers cleanly and maintains momentum into release. Worked into a longer arm action and produced throws up to 68 mph during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch. Simple, repeatable operation with good direction and movements down the slope. Fastball worked steadily in the mid-60s for the majority of his outing and topped out at 68 mph from a high three-quarters arm slot. Developing command with occasional cut to his fastball and some depth to his breaking ball, will continue to improve with proper mechanical adjustments and additional velocity. Took part in the infield portion of the defensive workout as well, where he showed deliberate footwork throughout the fielding process and a clean funnel out in-front. Showed ability to change arm angles when necessary and delivered throws up to 63 mph across the diamond during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from an even based stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and short stride out to launch. Linear swing path with developing bat speed and feel for the barrel. Flashed some impact when on-time and in-sync, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional maturity.
