Rafael Ramirez is a 2027 SS/BHP with a 5-8 130 lb. frame from Anaheim, CA. Slender build with room to add more. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.93 seconds. Primary middle infielder, moved well laterally, displayed good footwork with a quick transition. There is a lot to like, still working on working through the ball with softer hands. From the mound, throws from a three-quarter arm slot with a semi-windup delivery. Displayed some slight crossfire deception, has a short arm action with low effort, repeats well. The fastball sat 61-65 mph with arm side run, worked in a 12-6 spinny curveball that sat 58 mph. At the plate, hits from an upright very narrow open stance with a big leg kick trigger. Displayed good bat speed with a compact swing with a slight downward hand path. Great student. Was named to the 13U/14U California Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.
