Cody Higginbotham is a 2023 RHP/3B, OF with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Lake Wylie, SC. Recorded a 7.29 second sixty-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher starts with a full wind up and a long side step shifting into a controlled, above the belt leg lift showing good lateral movement and extension to the plate out of a high three-quarter arm slot. The fastball has some life as he commands it on both sides of the plate at 77 mph while also mixing in a change of pace breaking ball with a developing release point. Secondary infielder fields the ball with two hands showing a compact arm action with developing foot work and accurately throws across the diamond at 73 mph. Higginbotham also took fly balls in the outfield displaying clean glove actions with good footwork while accurately throwing 76 mph to the bases. Right-handed hitter steps to the plate and steps in the box with a slightly open, wide stance with high hands and a simple leg lift trigger. He pulls his hands in on the ball working it to pull side with a line drive swing. Tremendous student.
