Jonathan Fernandez-Andrew is a 2024 LHP/1B with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Cutler Bay, FL who attends St. Brendan. Tall and physical build with well-proportioned strength to the frame. Ran a 7.87 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, full delivery, side steps into a belt high leg lift to balance, full arm action in the back to a high three-quarters slot. Works well down the slope and repeats mechanics well, pounds the zone with a three pitch mix. Fastball plays true, working in the mid-80s and getting up to 88 mph. Curveball showed 12-6 shape that got whiffs in low-70s and also turned over a fading changeup in mid-70s. Performed well in the outing. Secondary first baseman, has fundamental actions working around the bag, glove gets down early and works through grounders, has athleticism to the movements. Great arm, recorded throws across up to 88 mph. Left-handed hitter, wide base with high hands and a high back elbow in the stance, knee lift trigger stride, showed a quick bat, impacting to the pull-side consistently with strength.
