Grant Burton is a 2025 3B/RHP, 1B, OF with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Longview, TX who attends Spring Hill. large, broad shouldered build with some present strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran an 8.59 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, fields the ball out front with two hands, plays tall through actions and can continue to incorporate additional footwork through the ball, gets the ball out of glove quickly and into a compact arm action through the backside. also pitched, small rock step into a leg lift up to belt; full arm action through the back working to a high three-quarters release point. Late effort at release, fastball topped out at 68 mph, creates some cut action on the ball from release, flashed 11-5 shape to breaking ball when on top of it up to 62 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with an open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a high leg lift for timing in the box. Gets spread moving into contact, handsy swing but creates some whip to the barrel through the zone and incorporates strength from hands at point of contact. Rotational swing, shows comfort working to pull side and repeats path.
