Larry Olivarez is a 2024 3B/OF with a 5-7 130 lb. frame from Corpus Christi, TX who attends Ray. Medium and stronger frame. Ran an 8.25 second 60 yard dash. Primary third baseman, worked out in the infield with hands that play well, transfers are quick while footwork is developing, glove works well to either side, release is a bit long and arm strength is young currently. Secondary outfielder, showed similar arm strength as in the infield during outfield drills, strides stays long to and through the baseball, releases from an over the top arm slot, topped out at 65 mph from the outfield. Left-handed hitter, sets up at the plate with a slightly open stance and a high hand set, closes off with stride into contact, takes a long swing path to the baseball and gets the barrel out in front, stays downhill with hand path, showed a feel for the barrel to all fields, will unlock more pop with additional lower half involvement into impact.
