Caiden Townsend is a 2023 OF/RHP/3B with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Canton, GA who attends Cherokee. Long and lean frame with good physical projection. Ran a 7.18 second 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, has sound actions to the ball, comes through it well and funnels it to an over the top release as he stays on top of strong and accurate throws. Also worked out in the infield, shows good range and attacks the ball well with good momentum and the ability to change slots on the move to create accurate throws across. Pitches as well, has a full arm action through a high release as he generates short run to the arm side on the fastball and maintains that release when going to a pair of developing off-speed offerings. Left-handed hitter, sets up balanced with a simple load and stride into contact; shows ease to the swing engaging the ground well and maintaining a good direction to the ball. Works on plane consistently and adjusts the barrel well to generate good impact that projects with added strength. Very good student.
