Daniel Deaton is a 2023 RHP/2B, 3B, SS, OF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Katy, TX who attends Obra D. Tompkins. Medium height with an athletic and proportioned build that will hold good weight as he matures. Ran a 7.46 in the sixty yard dash. A primary pitcher, has a steady tempo and compact delivery with a clean hand break. Short and quick arm swing on the back and releases from a 3/4 slot. Lots of confidence in his breaking ball and he moved both pitches around the zone, helping to force weak contact. A secondary infielder, clean actions and timing in his approach. Works around and through the ball to both sides and the arm has plenty of carry across the diamond. A right-handed hitter, starts balanced and online using a knee to knee trigger. Flicks the barrel through the zone with accuracy as he worked line drives to the middle and pull side of the field. Very good student.
