Reece Moroney is a 2023 SS/RHP/IF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Fair Haven, NJ who attends Rumson Fair Haven. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean build, room to fill with some present strength throughout. Ran a 7.05 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, smooth and fluid actions in the dirt where athleticism plays, hands play out front at the ball, comfortable and controlled actions and shows big arm strength and carry on throws across diamond. Also pitched, repeats athletic delivery well, smooth arm action working to a three-quarters release point; fast hand, fills the zone and fastball topped out at 86 mph while mixing in a tight, late breaker up to 69 mph. Right-handed hitter, utilizes a simple stroke in the box with quality bat-to-ball skills, found the barrel consistently in live action. Handles the barrel with comfort and shows fast hands, hard line drive contact to all fields and shows real impact strength at point of contact to all fields. Very good student. Named to Mid-Atlantic Top Prospect List.
