Cole Marchetti is a 2026 3B/RHP/IF with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Columbus, NJ who attends Northern Burlington. Long, lanky frame with square shoulders, a high waist and plenty of physical projection moving forward. Recorded a 5.02 second forty-yard dash time. Primary third baseman with a fundamentally sound defensive skill set. Profiles at the corners with good reactions to either side, a clean funnel out in-front and the ability to make accurate throws from different spots on the field. Delivered accurate throws up to 83 mph across during drills. Really performed well on the mound, as the 6-foot-2 right-hander ran his fastball up to 88 mph early in his outing and held the 86-88 mph range through the entirety of his first inning of work. He repeats his delivery well, uses his long levers to create leverage out in-front and commands all four quadrants of the strike zone effortlessly. Generated tons of weak contact and empty swings early in the count with his lively fastball and snapped off a hellacious slider with late bite for strikes, and swing-and-misses. Completed his three-pitch mix with a well-replicated changeup that he maintained arm speed on extremely well. Tons more velocity coming for the young right-hander. Left-handed hitter that hits from a balanced, even setup with a lower hand start and simple trigger. Simple line drive stroke with looseness to his hands and leverage out in-front. Displayed the ability to impact the baseball from gap-to-gap fairly well and projects for additional power as he continues to refine his stroke. Immensely projectable all-around athlete with monster upside on the mound. Excellent Student. Named to the 2024 Northeast Indoor Top Prospect List.
