Corey McCready is a 2021 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B, OF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Overland Park, KS who attends Blue Valley Northwest. Medium frame with an athletic build. Ran a 7.26 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary shortstop. Attempts to work around the baseball. Fields out front being quick with exchanges. Cuts off extension on throws with limited carry across the diamond topping out at 73 MPH. Righthanded hitter with an even stance and leg lift trigger for timing. Downhill path to the ball with spraying contact to all fields. Limited jump off the barrel. Secondary righthanded pitcher with short and quick arm action in the back. Throws a lot of strikes with a straight fastball topping out at 74 MPH. Slider is a short cutter with a similar arm action as the fastball. Good student as well.
