Gianni Fanelli is a 2019 OF/RHP with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Berlin, CT who attends Berlin. Medium frame with lean, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 6.95 seconds. Hits from even-based stance with upright posture, low hand set, hands load back into slight bar, good balance to swing, line drive plane, showed good contact skills, will improve power as he gains strength. Worked out in the outfield, attacks the ball with athletic and balanced footwork, fields cleanly and takes quick crow hop to load, clocked up to 87 mph on throws. Also pitched, creates good plane from high three quarters slot, full effort with good arm speed, fastball worked 78-84 mph with some sinking life, also mixed in curveball with sharp, late bite, good upside on the mound. Good student, named to 2018 Northeast Showcase Top Prospect List.
