Richard Kirbyson is a 2017 RHP/OF with a 6-4 185 lb. frame from Richmond, CA who attends De Anza HS. The tall and projectable right hander creates torque over the rear leg, drives down the mound towards the right handed batters box, has a short arm swing, that leads to a 3/4 arm slot. With his repeatable delivery and efficient effort level he worked the fastball at 79 to 82 miles per hour with occasional cut movement. Threw the curveball with 11/5 arc, depth, and fastball arm speed at 63 miles per hour. At the plate he shifts his weight to the rear leg, leg lift coils front side, stride separates creating elastic tension in the body that leads to natural bat speed.
