Logan Mackin is a 2027 RHP/1B, 3B, OF with a 6-0 207 lb. frame from Minooka, IL who attends Minooka Community. He has a tall frame for his age with a thick build. Ran the 40-Yard Dash in 5.44 seconds. Primary right-handed pitcher that uses a side step to start his delivery and features a knee to chest leg kick. He does a nice job working down the mound and in line with the plate, landing with an open front foot. He uses a medium length arm action and fires from a high 3/4 slot. He does a nice job of getting extended at release. He has a slower delivery that he is able to keep in control consistently. He showed nice control over his fastball, working it to the corners of the zone. He leans on his slider when he gets ahead of hitters, showing two plane break and solid shape. His changeup had nice velocity difference and showed fade through the zone. Secondary infielder that works into a good fielding position and showed a nice feel for the glove. He fields the ball deeper into his body and transfers the ball quickly. He used a short arm action to get rid of the ball quickly and made accurate throws across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts in a narrow base with flexed knees. He sinks into his back hip on his load and stays short to the baseball. He has a rotational lower half and has a downhill swing path, looking to create backspin on his line drives. He has an up-the-middle approach and stays on balance at the plate. Excellent student.
