Barrett Stencel is a 2027 3B/RHP/OF with a 5-9 135 lb. frame from Thomasville, GA who attends IMG Academy. A medium frame with room to keep filling out moving forward. Ran a 7.99 60-yard dash. A primary corner infielder, who took his infield reps, showing off quicker feet and a snatchy glove. Funnels through the middle of his body well with a shorter and compact arm action from a higher slot. Projectable actions on the left side of the field as he keeps filling out his frame. Worked out as an outfielder as well, fielding it off the front foot with a little bit of a jumping crow-hop to work through throws at 74 mph. One-hop accuracy with a clean arm stroke through it. A right-handed hitter with high set hands in an upright stance. Slightly open feet to start with a big hanging leg lift trigger. Had some quickness to the bat, able to get it off front and drive the ball in the air. Worked to the middle of the field and lofted a couple throughout his round of BP. Also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher with a leg lift up above the belt an an on-line arm action. The fastball had some life to it working the low-70s. He was also able to break off a bigger breaking ball, will a feel to land it for strikes during his outing on the mound. Excellent student.
