Luke Spangler is a 2027 RHP/1B, 3B with a 5-6 175 lb. frame from Franklin, LA who attends Hanson Memorial. Recorded a 9.29 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher and begins delivery with a leg lift to core level, landing on line at foot strike. Utilizes a long arm action through the back and releases from a high-3/4 slot. Simple, repeatable delivery and creates nice extension out front. Ran the fastball up to 72 mph and complimented with a breaking ball that showed slurvy shape and some tightness to it. Secondary first baseman and showed clean glovework, looking comfortable around the bag. Also worked out in the infield and used a quick exchange and release with solid arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter with a medium base and even feet. Employs a deep hand load, impacting the ball with good strength out front. Swing is conducive to power with lift to the bat path.
