Michael Garcia is a 2028 RHP/1B, 3B, SS with a 5-10 156 lb. frame from Westhampton, NY who attends Westhampton Beach Senior. Medium, athletic build with room to continue adding strength. Ran a 8.06 60-yard dash. Left-handed hitter, narrow base with a slightly open front side and high hands in the stance, short stride out into contact, linear path through the zone and consistently impacted to the pull-side. Quick hands and bat speed, easy to project more power in the coming years. Primary right-handed pitcher, fundamentally sound mechanics and a repeatable delivery, able to locate to all quadrant. Fastball played true, getting up to 71 mph (1705 RPM). Mixed in a changeup with typical fading action, up to 63 mph. Induced a lot of weak contact on the ground. Secondary infielder, young actions and movements getting to the ball, fields it with two hands out front, developing arm strength across the diamond, recorded throws up to 68 mph. Also worked out in the outfield, under control on the charge, one hand gather, full arm swing and the same arm strength as the infield, recorded throws up to 67 mph.
