Niko Colombo is a 2028 C/3B with a 5-6 155 lb. frame from Medford, OR who attends North Medford. Features a smaller/lean build with average athleticism. Ran a 9.75 60-yd dash. Defensively at SS, he fielded every all clean showing some present glove feel and skill. Fielded with one-hand. Used a glove-tap at times which hurt quickness to release. Range was limited showing some early corner projection. His arm action was shorter and he made accurate throws across. Behind the plate, showed avg. catch/throw ability for his level. Has a decent exchange and quickness out the crouch but gained ground through his footwork. At the plate, he sits in an even base with lower set hands. He uses a smaller leg lift trigger where he has a high elbow load. His hands/barrel work on a more direct path to the baseball with avg. bat/hand speed for his level one-hand high finish. Showed a more out-front and pullside approach during his batting practice round.
