LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2021 Fall Northern California Showcase
Jack Thornton is a 2024 LHP/ with a 6-4 192 lb. frame from Rancho Murieta, CA who attends Pleasant Grove. Ran a 8.50 second sixty. Primary Left-handed pitcher with a high waist showing plenty of room to project on the frame. Does a nice job using the lower half coming down the mound while staying on line with drop and drive actions. The cross fire action creates some deception on the fastball at 70-74 mph with young command of the arm side run with projectable arm speed. He went to the breaking ball with loopy 12-6 shape that has the potential for more bite with more conviction. The two pitch mix allowed him to keep hitters off balance for the most part with the curveball showing some tunneling off the fastball arm side run.
