Michael Scaletta is a 2026 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Waxhaw, NC who attends Cuthbertson. Works from a lean compact frame with some physical upside. Primary outfielder, works through the baseball with clean footwork and has a natural feel for the position. Displayed a smooth transfer and delivered accurate throws. Releases from a lower arm slot, recorded arm strength up to 76 mph. Secondary left-handed pitcher, starts from the third base side of the rubber and works from a full wind-up delivery, utilizes a small side step and crouched leg lift over the rubber, breaks the hands at the chest into a full inline arm path, releases from a low three-quarters slot. Rushes down the slope a bit and gets rotational on the finish. Fastball showed gradual arm side run and peaked at 78 mph. Mixed in a bigger curveball with two-plane break and a firm changeup that has the makings of a reliable secondary pitch. Left-handed hitter, starts in a slightly closed stance, utilizes a hanging leg lift trigger and works into a lofted stroke with strength to the pull-side. Has present hand speed and creates carry when timed up, recorded an exit velocity of 78 mph. Ran a 7.40 sixty-yard dash. Excellent student.
