Luke Wickenhauser is a 2022 RHP/C, OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Hardin, IL who attends Calhoun. Right-handed pitcher with a medium frame that has room to fill out and add strength. Starts from the windup with a side step that leads into a belt high leg lift. Has drop and drive actions down the mound with a stiffer glove out front, falling to the glove side some at release. Has an over the top slot, attacking hitters with a fastball at 82-86 miles per hour. Shows feel to spin a low-70s curveball with 11-5 shape and depth when on time and out front. Also flashes feel for a change-up in the zone in the mid-70s. Commands the strike zone well with the three-pitch mix and pitches with good mound presence. Right-handed hitter that starts from a slightly open stance, showcasing a middle of the field approach and developing extension. Stays balanced and flashes the ability to square the ball up with some consistency. Named to 2020 Pitcher/Catcher Showcase, Top Prospect List.
