2023 Deep South Prospect Showcase
Davis Emonet is a 2025 OF/RHP, MIF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Baton Rouge, LA who attends Catholic. Emonet showed some speed on the sixty yard dash running a 6.69. Primary outfielder he has a long wiry frame with plenty of athleticism and more room for additional strength. Working to the ball aggressively he showed clean footwork fielding the ball well to the side. He creates downhill momentum on his throws with a longer loose arm action with some cary to bases. In the middle infield he waits back on the ball catches it cleanly with a clean funnel. He controls the body well with a fast glove to hand transfer and plenty of arm strength across the diamond. On the mound he starts with a longer drop step into a high leg lift that is well above hip height. He is linear into the lift with some aggressiveness throughout the lower half during the operation. Working with a straight over the top arm action the fastball jumps out of the hand with some late sinking action to it. He mixed in a tight sweeping slider with plenty of tightness and horizontal depth across the zone. Right handed hitter starts with a wide even foot base with a small leg lift trigger.The hands work very fast showing a linear path through the zone. The ball jumps off the bat then squared up with some strength to the pull side. Davis is an excellent student. He was named to the 2023 Deep South Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
