Ethan Henry is a 2023 LHP/1B with a 5-11 156 lb. frame from Hastings, MI who attends Hastings. Long frame with a slender build. Ran a 7.59 second 60-yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher with a rotational delivery to the plate creating some whip with the arm with more to come with added strength. Arm action works well through release from a three-quarter slot. Slurve pitch has some occasional tightness to spin with solid feel for the pitch. Also flashed a change with better feel and some sinking action to the pitch. Fastball displays occasional hard run through the zone topping out at 78 miles per hour. Maintained velocity well throughout outing. Secondary first baseman fielding out front with some stiffness in receive. Moves with some athleticism around the bag. Full action getting on top of the ball and showing clean carry across the diamond at 78 miles per hour. Lefthanded hitter with a clean shift into contact. Short path through the zone on a linear plane. Generates some hand speed and strength at contact that should continue to improve. Excellent student as well. Named to the 14U Ohio Valley Showcase Top Prospect List.
