Landon Frei is a 2021 MIF/RHP/C with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Santa Clara, UT who attends Snow Canyon HS. Medium build with some present strength and room for more. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with some knee flex, has a long and loose swing with a line drive swing plane, swings hard and has some bat speed and strength at contact, consistent middle of the field line drive contact, can drive the left centerfield gap, showed consistent timing and feel for the barrel. 7.43 runner, works around the ball and through it when possible, has good hands, showed some arm strength at times, can improve and quicken release, third base tools with projectable arm strength. Also pitched, polished low effort delivery with a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, has been up to 84 mph at past PG events, works downhill and to spots with his fastball, ball gets on hitters quickly. Showed a quality curveball he could throw more often, tight spin with some 10/4 depth, tends to tip his change up with a slower arm and different release. Very good student.
