Riley Matlock is a 2026 C/OF with a 5-10 200 lb. frame from Indianapolis, IN who attends Southport. Has a physical frame with evident strength all over and good athleticism for his size. Ran a 6.83 sixty. Primary catcher who sets up square. Footwork is online as he pops out of the crouch quickly and gains ground through the side of the plate. Has a quick arm with longer arm action but plenty of strength behind his throws. Gets out of the crouch quickly with a quick transfer and release. Recorded a 1.87 pop time and was up to 78 from behind the dish with good accuracy. Right-handed hitter with a balanced base. Tons of bat speed here and the ball jumps off his bat. Rotates hard at the top half of things and can clear the hips well. Does a nice job dipping into the lower half with his weight transfer and explodes through the ball. Ball came off the barrel hard with impact. Power projects well here. Good student. Named to the TP List.
