What Happened: LSU opened with a 7-3 win over Kansas State before taking their first loss of the season to Iowa, 12-4. The offense exploded in game three, as they mashed their way to a 16-4 win over Sam Houston.



Carrying Tool: Power. When the Tigers’ lineup is firing on all cylinders, there are not many teams in the country that will be able to compete with them. Tommy White, Dylan Crews, Brayden Jobert, and Jared Jones all have plus or better power and should all produce double digit home runs.

Concerns: Swing-and-miss. Although the LSU offense is amongst the best in all of college baseball, they are susceptible to the strikeout. Although not a major concern, the Tigers did strike out 38 times over the three games in Round Rock.

Best Player on the Field: Dylan Crews. The Golden Spikes candidate and potential 1:1 selection in July did not disappoint. He batted .563, coming up clutch on several occasions while playing premium defense in center field.
