Jackson Herzog (2025, New York, N.Y.) is a 5-foot-10, 150-pound left-handed pitcher and outfielder who was impressive on the mound for Team Elite 15u Liberty at Hoover Met on Monday. Jackson earned the start for his club during Monday’s pool play game in the Alabama afternoon heat, and stayed dialed in, as he worked a five-inning complete game with six hits scattered, no earned runs, three punchouts, and no walks while earning the big pool play win. On the mound, Herzog deploys a slow and controlled delivery, with a long and loose arm action that releases his mix from a three-quarter slot. Tunneling his repertoire well throughout the duration of the contest, Jackson used a fastball up to 75 mph, with run and bore through the zone and a curveball with depth and 1-7 shape to collect a lot of swing-and-miss and soft contact on the way to the win. With plenty of run support during his club’s 16-1 win, Herzog used the lead to focus on his assignment and continued to fill the zone as he went, ending the day with 67% strikes, yet worked ahead of 82% of the hitters he faced an impressive feat.
