Isaiah Lowe (2022, Shelby, N.C.) ran his fastball up to 93 mph in game one of the tournament as he got the first two innings for Combine Academy. The big, physical right-hander worked through some early fastball struggles, going to the off-speed a bit more in the first to get himself back in the zone and out of some self-created traffic. He used all four pitches in this outing, with the curveball showing up more in the first inning in the mid-70s and a firmer slider at 80-82 mph in the second inning. He also showed a changeup at 80 mph to left-handed hitters with some fading action as he does a nice job getting on top of it with extension out front. The Wake Forest commit shows the potential arsenal of a starting pitching moving to the next level, and with the continued command over each pitch he should have that chance for the Deamon Deacons.

Payton Manca (2023, Winchendon, Mass.) has an impressive frame at 6-foot-5 and creates an interesting look coming down the hill at hitters. The Florida State commit stays really tall through the delivery, throwing from a higher slot as he runs through the lower half a bit while maintaining his line to the plate. The fastball sat 86-89 mph and has the ability to get some downhill plane to the bottom of the zone, which sets up his breaking ball well with similar arm speed and slot. The breaking ball shows good tilt through the zone with some two-plane action as he did a nice job throwing it to both sides of the plate against left-handed hitters. The fastball and breaking ball make up a majority of the arsenal and should allow him some success as he continues to learn and develop his sequencing of the two pitches.
