Ray Winter is a 2020 RHP/1B with a 6-5 195 lb. frame from Bayside, NY who attends Bayside. Tall and lanky frame with room to fill, highly projectable build. Ran a 7.19 second 60 yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, pitches exclusively from the stretch, online delivery with good extension, takes his arm back to a full arm action up to a high ¾ arm slot, clean take back and arm stroke, projects well with proper arm exercises. Fastball topped out at 83 mph with more to come with proper adjustments, can locate fastball to either side of the plate, mixes in a curveball with 12-6 shape and developing spin, can create more bite to breaking ball with maintained fastball arm speed, fills up the strike zone with fastball and curveball combination. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with a slightly open stance, easy swing with a level swing plane, takes a leg lift trigger into contact, middle of the field approach. Great student.
