Lucas Brooks is a 2024 RHP/OF with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Stoneville, NC who attends John M Morehead. Large frame with broad shoulders, current muscularity and athletic actions for a prospect his size. RHP working exclusively from the stretch and way on the 1B side of the rubber. Tough look for hitters with his cross body delivery. Lands closed at foot strike and works hard to get through the ball at release. Direction has caused some command issues here and there but the stuff plays. Deep arm path before accelerating through a classic 3/4 arm angle. FB up to 83 mph with some life to the arm side. Tunnels his SL very well with the heater in the mid-70s showing late depth and generating swing and miss. Got better as he progressed through his outing. Durable body and held stuff throughout. Very good student as well.
