Ryan Maturo is a 2023 RHP with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Fullerton, CA who attends Troy. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength on build, additional room to grow moving forward. Ran a 7.59 60-yard dash. Right-handed pitcher, side step at start of delivery into a high leg lift; full arm swing through the backside working to an over-the-top release point, high front side and creates extension out front, tends to land open with strike foot, good finish towards the plate with lower half. Commanded the zone well, fastball topped out at 80 mph, showed comfort working to glove side, flashed running life to arm side at times. Confidence in curveball and able to mix early in count to work ahead, 12-6 shape when on top of the ball up to 63 mph, does slow arm prior to release. Threw both pitches for strikes. Very good student.
