Zach Ryan is a 2024 RHP/1B, 3B with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Byron Center, MI who attends Byron Center. He has a good frame with an athletic build and room to add strength. Ran the sixty yard dash in 8.01 seconds. Primary right-handed pitcher that has a knee to belt leg kick and works in line with the plate well. He has a medium arm action and fires from a 3/4 arm slot. He showed four pitches and was able to locate them in the zone effectively to generate weak contact. His fastball is straight and he primarily worked it away from right-handed hitters. His curveball is a loopy breaking ball with slurvy actions. His slider has similar break as the curveball, but comes in with more velocity. His changeup had some downer action that made it different than the fastball. Secondary third baseman that has young actions around the ball and funneled it into his glove well. Right-handed hitter that starts in an even base with high hands and a low back elbow. He uses a toe tap trigger for timing. He uses a rotational swing and takes his hands directly to the ball. He made his best contact when working the other way. Excellent student.
