2021 13U/14U Sunshine Rocky Mountain Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Chase Davidson is a 2025 OF/C, IF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Riverside, CA who attends Aquinas. Medium, square shouldered frame with some present strength to frame and additional room to fill throughout. ran a 7.71 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, long arm action through the back on throws, shows some strength and carry out of hand, gains momentum coming through the ball, moves in to the ball well well, shortens arm at release. Young actions in the infield, will continue to refine, hands work nicely at the ball, shows some carry on throws across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, begins with a square and balance stance at the plate, utilizes a toe tap trigger for timing. Nice rhythm to swing, creates plenty of bat speed through the zone and should develop into some nice strength. Creates occasional loft and elevation at point of contact, generates some separation, occasionally gets uphill with path. Very good student.
