2021 NorCal Workout Camp (Sunday)
Kael Lumbert is a 2025 MIF/C/RHP with a 5-8 135 lb. frame from Auburn, CA who attends Del Oro. Medium height with a wiry frame and loads of room to add strength. Ran a 8.01 in the sixty yard dash. A primary infielder, fields deep into the body with a consistent exchange, waits back to read hops before working through with in line footwork. Also worked out behind the plate, square set up with simple replacement footwork. Clean release to second. A right-handed hitter, starts even and linear with the base, small stride and works early to the front side. Works the hands out front and has a solid middle of the field approach. Also pitches using a big leg lift to gather and a high 3/4 release. Worked around the zone with three pitches and the change up had solid sink. Excellent student.
