Jake Newman is a 2022 3B/OF, UT with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends The Buckley. He ran a 7.29 second sixty. A primary third baseman with an average build. On the infield he showed firm hands working out front, he gathers quickly with a shorter arm action and gets rid of the bal well, the foot work is still developing but shows promise with some of his foot speed. In the outfield he works aggressive to the baseball carrying his momentum well through the ball and running through his quicker release. Right-handed hitter, starts with a narrow base and slightly open stance, he is able to get etc barrel head out and showed the ability to manipulate the path, the weight stays on his back side with chest behidnteh baseball at contact. Good student.
