Mario Mira is a 2024 SS/RHP with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from San Clemente, CA who attends Santa Margarita Catholic. Smaller frame with a lean build and good athleticism. Ran a 6.89 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, works light on his feet and stays low in his approach to the ball, gets wide in the lower half to receive it and gets going to the bag well with quickness to his release and good arm strength on throws across. Also pitches, works quick on the mound, uses a short and quick arm action to generate short cutting life to the fastball while maintaining arm speed well on a changeup with good fade and showed good projectable components to the breaking ball that he spun well. Right-handed hitter, loads deep on his back side and fires well into the swing; shows excellent quickness in his hands that produces good bat speed and some jump off the barrel when squared. Generates mostly line drive contact to the middle of the field and projects as he matures physically. Good student.
