Sean Suriyaniel is a 2023 RHP/1B, OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Hacienda Heights, CA who attends Bishop Amat. Features a tall, lanky build with room to add. Primary right-handed pitcher. Stays athletic throughout slight drop and drive mechanics down the mound. Showed good arm speed within short, clean arm action. Throws from a 3/4 slot. Repeats low effort delivery well. The fastball sat 82-86 mph (2150 rpm) with slight armside run. The offering gets in on hitters quickly, leading to frequent jam shots. Paired it with a curveball at 70-73 mph (2050 rpm) showing sharp, slurve action. Creates good bite on the offering. Has the ability to miss bats with the pitch. Also showed a fading changeup at 79-80 mph. Can throw all three pitches for strikes. Impressive arm with projectability remaining. Arm strength translated to the outfield. Threw 87 mph during workouts. Creates good carry using little effort on throws. Caught the ball cleanly with a quick transfer. Still developing consistent footwork through the catchpoint. Ran a 7.49 60-yard dash. Excellent student. Named to the Sunshine West Top Prospect List.
