Timothy Boese is a 2023 RHP/2B with a 5-7 130 lb. frame from Andover, MA who attends Andover. Medium, square shouldered frame with a lean build and room to grow and develop moving forward. Ran an 8.26 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, deliberate tempo to mechanics, begins with a medium leg raise and shows rhythm to delivery, works to a high three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 69 mph, hides the ball through the back and worked around the zone, pitched to contact; mixed a short 11-5 shaped curveball up to 59 mph. Takes longer strides moving towards the ball in the infield, works through the backhand, will continue to refine overall actions, carry and accuracy on throws, longer release, moves well on the charge. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow pulled back at start of swing with a closed front side. Upper body dominant swing, works on a linear to downward path through the zone, stays short to the ball with a high finish through point of contact, repeats mechanics swing to swing. Very good student.
