Ben Kushi is a 2022 1B/3B, OF with a 6-4 203 lb. frame from Hudson, MA who attends St. Paul Diocesan. Extra-large, athletic frame with long limbs and some present stregnth to frame, additional room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.28 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, fields the ball out front with two hands, works into a tight and compact arm action through the back, works on top of throws and shows carry, young footwork and actions off the bag which will continue to refine. Right-handed hitter, begins with a spread stance; upper body dominant swing, can shorten lower half mechanics moving into contact. Shows quickness to hands with some lift to swing path, ball jumps off the barrel well when squared and on time, shows comfort lifting to pull side, tends to open front side early in swing. Very good student.
