Eros Castaneda is a 2022 MIF/ with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Mater Dei Catholic. Recorded a 7.25 second 60 yard dash time. Long and lanky frame with room to fill. Primary middle infielder, fields it deep with a clean funnel. Circles it well, some feel for the glove, soft on the backhand, developing footspeed. Right-handed hitter with a narrow stance and low hand set. Simple operation with a small lift and replace trigger, doesn't get loaded into the backside. No hand load present, cuts himself off at times, stiff hands. Short finish, short swing path to the ball, at his best when staying up the middle, found a couple of barrels there. Excellent student.
