Zachary Denneau is a 2024 RHP/3B with a 6-1 145 lb. frame from Milwaukee, WI who attends Pius Xi. Recorded a 7.40 second 60 yard dash time. Long and lanky frame with lots of room to fill and physical projection remaining. Right-handed pitcher, stays tall throughout the delivery and stays in line well with the plate. Short arm action with some plunge, shows the ball behind his back. Starts with a very slow and controlled operation and then explodes forward on the stride. Drop and drive lower half mechanics, throws two different breakers. Big curveball with vertical drop and good shape to it, throws the slider harder with more horizontal bite. Will improve as he fills out the frame and gets stronger. Secondary third baseman with a long arm action and wind up into release. Stabs it the ball to field, limited feel for the glove, developing footwork and quickness. Right-handed hitter with a wide base and deep hand load into an arm bar. Limited balance and extension with a small leg lift trigger, front shoulder tends to fly open. Struggled with outside pitches, at his best when connecting with pitches on the inner half. Excellent student.
