Cody Zachariasen is a 2022 RHP/3B, OF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Truckee, CA who attends Tahoe Truckee. Recorded a 7.63 second sixty yard dash time. Tall and lanky frame with room to fill. Primary right-handed pitcher with a semi-windup delivery and tall and fall mechanics. ¾ arm slot with clean arm path. Smooth, easy operation. Repeats the delivery fairly well. Height and arm slot create solid downhill plane. Leads to frequent ground balls. Missed barrels fairly well. Fastball sat 78-80 mph, touching 82 mph. Solid downhill plane. Attacks with the fastball on inner half. Inconsistent command early, missed high occasionally. Changeup sat 73-74 mph with fading actions. Solid arm speed deception. Did throw often, but flashed potential. Feel for command still in progress. Worked well down n the zone. Curveball sat 64-67 mph with 1-7 break. Showed bite when thrown well. Has swing and miss potential. Occasionally gets loopy. Hand gets on side of ball. Improving consistency will be key. Overall a solid foundation to work with as all offerings should get better with continued development and added strength. Secondary third baseman with firm hands and stiff actions, will improve as he plays through the ball. Also worked out in the outfielder, showed a longer arm action and solid footwork, has some arm strength present. Right-handed hitter with a big, busy load and barrel wrap. Swings hard and has good bat speed that allows him to get on time fairly often, ball comes off the barrel well and shows an all fields approach. Excellent student.
