Lucas Severson is a 2023 SS/RHP, C, OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Osceola, WI who attends Osceola. Recorded a 7.49 second 60 yard dash time. Primary shortstop, fields out in front with two hands, double taps on the gather with a short arm action and very high release. Developing footwork, hands have some quickness to them, arm strength will improve as he grows. Also worked out in the outfield, fields it off the back foot and moves through it well. Clean transfers, arm has some whip to it. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a medium build and a leg kick above the belt. Really leans back on the delivery and falls off to the first base side. Drop and drive lower half mechanics, long arm action with a big circle in the back, comes from an over the top slot. Flashed a curveball with 11/5 shape. Right-handed hitter with a knee to knee stride and limited weight transfer in the lower half. Throws his hands at the ball, long swing, barrel tends to be late. Inconsistent contact in this look, will improve impact potential as he fires the hips.
