Armand Calderon is a 2025 OF/RHP, 1B with a 5-9 120 lb. frame from Sachse, TX who attends Wylie. Young, square shouldered frame with a lean build and room to fill throughout and develop physically moving forward. Ran an 8.52 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball cleanly and works behind it on approach, upper body dominant release, shows accuracy on throws with developing arm strength and carry. Comes through the ball at release on throws from first base, young actions away from the back, fields the ball out front with two hands, can incorporate additional lower half into release. Also pitched, worked exclusively out of the stretch, leg lift up to belt, gets tall on backside, short stride coming down the mound with a shorter arm action through the back. Fastball topped out at 60 mph, pitched exclusively off of it in this look, tends to open front side early at release. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even stance and a high hand set and lower back elbow at the plate. Stays short to the ball with swing and keeps hands inside the ball with some extension out front. Linear path through the zone to point of contact, utilizes toe taps for timing in the box, bat speed will continue to develop with added strength.
