Forrest Day is a 2024 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Liberty Twp, OH who attends Archbishop Moeller. Recorded a 7.60 second sixty yard dash time. Medium frame and athletic build. Primary shortstop, keeps the feet moving throughout and moves well laterally. Feet and hands are sound and sync up well, has solid fundamentals and will really improve as he smooths out the actions. Has a short arm action and shows soft hands. Secondary right-handed pitcher, gets the hips turned and lands a bit closed on the foot strike. Hip turn makes for some deception to the delivery and he throws across his body some, has drop and drive lower half mechanics. Flashed a curveball with 11-5 shape and downer action, also featured a solid changeup with sink and fade. Good feel and movement to the secondaries, changeup already shows swing and miss traits, will improve with added arm strength. Listed as a switch-hitter, has an even stance and high back elbow set, utilizes a knee to knee trigger. Tight hand set and wraps the bat around his neck, spins off and is pull heavy at times. Has some natural loft to the path, will improve as he gets stronger and catches the ball out in front of the plate. Good student.
