Toby Stephens is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from San Clemente, CA who attends San Clemente. Recorded a 7.29 second 60 yard dash time. Medium frame and thick build with some strength present. Primary outfielder with a passive approach, fields it deep, arm works around the body, Longer arm action from a low slot, gets it out quick and throws it at 78 mph. Carry will improve as he uses the lower half more actively to throw. Right-handed hitter with an even base and high back elbow set. Tight hands with a steep path, bat gets vertical prior to launch. Lift and replace trigger with a toe lift, tends to cut himself off. Limited lower half usage, has strength and can use it more effectively by driving the hips. Great student.
