Dane Samartino is a 2023 RHP with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Haddonfield, NJ who attends Haddonfield Memorial.Large, athletic frame with some present strength and additional room to develop moving forward. Right-handed pitcher, high leg lift at start of delivery, long stride coming down the mound and works downhill well; full arm action through the back, works to a three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, got on hitters quickly and comes out of hand well. Worked ahead in count and attacked hitters. Tight slider up to 73 mph with 10-4 shape and late movement while changeup showed nice fading action in to a right-handed bats. Three pitches for strikes and projects well moving forward. Very good student. Named to New England Indoor Top Prospect List.
