Benjamin Reed is a 2026 OF/RHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Grapevine, TX who attends Colleyville Heritage. A taller frame with a lean build. Ran a 6.72 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder who worked out at the position. He had present carry on his throws at 84 mph from the outfield. He showed athletic actions with a good approach working to it. He showed some quickness to his actions, fielding it on his backfoot and working through it. Also worked out as an infielder. He had clean actions, working to it to field the ball cleanly. He had quality footwork and soft hands with the glove. Quickness overall, throwing 84 mph across the infield during his round. A left-handed hitter with a spread open stance. Balanced base starting slightly open. He uses a medium-sized leg raise and stride through it. He had a bigger leg lift trigger. He was able to lift to the middle of the field and leave the ballpark for a home run during BP. He had a smooth and simple stroke with the ability to impact it out front and launch pull-side. Projects. Produced a 92 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Added 2 hits in-game. He also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher. He worked from the wind-up on the third base side of the rubber. He had a medium leg lift working into a lower-/mid- three-quarters arm slot. Showed a full arm stroke through the back. Stiff mover with a shorter stride working downhill. The fastball was up to 83 mph with a little bit of run and sink. The pitch played low in the zone and produced a lot of softer contact on the ground. He also had a slider in the low-70s with a gyro profile. Threw a scoreless inning with a punchout to his credit.
