James Heller is a 2022 RHP/2B, SS, MIF with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Oregon, WI who attends Oregon. Medium and high waisted frame with a lanky build, has plenty of room to fill. Primary right-handed pitcher, pitches from the first base side of the rubber and stays in line well with the plate. Mechanically sound delivery, smooth and controlled operation overall. The fastball sat 77-83 mph with late arm side run at times. The curveball was thrown at 69 mph and showed 12-6 shape with good depth, will show 11-5 shape at times when he gets on the side of it. Has good feel for the curveball, can drop it in for a strike at any time and will throw it often. Adds and subtracts from the fastball well. Also featured a changeup at 72 mph to complete the three pitch mix. Good student.
